Product Description
In the Prairie School architectural style, organic objects are transformed into geometric forms. This shade features colorful interlocking blocks of multi-colored glass in hues of Blue/Green, with accent blocks of Blue and Burgundy used to create stylized wheat stalks on a Beige Cream background. The stained glass shade is made using the famous Meyda Tiffany copperfoil construction process. The shade pairs well with a base to create a table or floor lamp and can be matched with hardware to build a beautiful ceiling fixture. The Prairie Wheat Shade is included in our American-designed, handmade Prairie Lighting Collection. Each shade is a unique work of art with color variations based on natural ingredients inherent in the glass.
Getting the Size Right

- Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
- Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
- Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
