With its unassuming minimalist profile, The Vex 5 outdoor LED wall sconce from Tech Lighting features your choice of down-only or up- and down-light exterior wall illumination and delivers a wide range of optical control in a unique and deceptively simple design. Vex is ideal for outdoor (or indoor) accent lighting, ambient lighting, wall grazing, and way-finding applications where beam angle is critical or being used to add dramatic effects. Independent, up and down beam angles from 10° - 120° are achieved with simple tool-free adjustment. Beams can be set symmetric or asymmetric in both directions and are lockable. Plus, angle markers ensure consistent and precise aiming and adjustment from fixture to fixture. Available in modern finishes. ADA Compliant.

Getting the Size Right

Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.

• Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
• Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
• Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
• Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.
