Product Description

Like satellites orbiting a planet, the Brisa's select mahogany blade head and lunar counterweight gently revolve 360° about its spherical gear housing. The fan head can be infinitely positioned in a 180-degree arc for optimum air movement, the greater the angle of the motor to the horizontal support rods (up or down), the faster the axial rotation. A slow, controlled axial rotation is achieved by both fan head position and fan blade speed. Matthews 360° rotational fans circulate heat and air conditioning more efficiently than traditional paddle fans. Constructed of cast aluminum, heavy spun and stamped steel, the Brisa carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Getting the Size Right

Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.

  • Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
  • Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
  • Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
  • Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.
