Product Description
Hand-forged and beautifully shaped by Vermont artisans, the Parasol displays the work of our makers through the texture and personality that steel only achieves in the fires of the forge at more than 1800ºF. A piece of white art glass is nestled in the curve of the sconce's upward reach. According to HF designer Jason Hancock, a "milky" candelabra bulb is an ideal choice.
Getting the Size Right
Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.
- Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
- Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
- Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
- Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.
