Designed by HF's Jason Hancock, the substantial yet elegant Passage 8-Light Linear Pendant features hand-forged steel "shields" with vertical cut-outs, giving the impression of light "cast through the frame of an open window." With a choice of clear or frosted glass cylindrical shades and any of 11 standard finishes, the Passage can take on different aesthetics to suit the overall design of its space.
Getting the Size Right
Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.
- Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
- Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
- Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
- Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.
