Product Description
Alex has a simple, contemporary design that features handcrafted Opal glass, available with flat glass trim. This modern wall light offers flexible design potential for a variety of bath/vanity decorating schemes. Mount horizontally or vertically. ADA-Compliant. Our Trans-Armagnac colored blown glass complements the soft white Opal cased glass, which can suit any classic or modern decor. Opal has a very tranquil glow that is pleasing in appearance, as the Trans-Armagnac glass sparkles with the accents from that glow. The smooth satin finish on the opal’s outer layer is a result of an extensive etching process. This blown glass combination is handcrafted by a skilled artisan, utilizing century-old techniques passed down from generation to generation. The sconce fixture is equipped with plated steel square lamp holders mounted to linear rectangular tubing, and a low profile square canopy cover. These stylish and functional luminaries are offered in a beautiful Satin Nickel finish.
Getting the Size Right
Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.
- Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
- Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
- Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
- Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.
