The clean tear dropped shape of the Alina Pendant by Sean Lavin is masterfully hand-blown in Poland to feature a beautiful draw at its crown. Skilled Polish artisans labor to mold the Alina into its signature smooth teardrop silhouette. An LED or halogen light is artfully diffused inside of the warm colored glass. At 7" in height, this modestly scaled pendant is the ideal size for kitchen island lighting, bath lighting flanking a vanity or installed as a modern interpretation of a chandelier in a foyer or dining room. Multiple contemporary glass colors. The Alina pendant may be used in conjunction with the Monorail system to add a larger range of design concepts customizations.

Getting the Size Right

Dimensions matter for every lighting type. Check the full Dimensions & Size specs above against your space before ordering.

• Hanging fixtures: for a dining table, hang the bottom of the fixture 30–36″ above the table. In an entryway, keep at least 7 ft of floor clearance.
• Chandelier diameter: a common starting point is room length (ft) + room width (ft) = fixture diameter in inches.
• Vanity & sconces: mount sconces about eye level (60–66″) and size vanity lights to roughly 75% of the mirror width.
• Outdoor: confirm the fixture’s wet/damp rating and that its scale suits the exterior wall or ceiling — outdoor fixtures often need to read larger.

What is a multi-light pendant system?  

A single canopy powers multiple pendants on one junction box — ideal when you want several lights over an island or dining table but only have one ceiling box. Canopies typically support 3–7 pendants depending on the system.

Can I adjust the height of each pendant on a multi-system?  

Usually yes — each pendant cord or rod adjusts independently during installation. Plan layout before cutting cords: center pendants over work zones, stagger heights for visual interest, or keep them level for a clean modern look.

How do I size a multi-system for my island?  

Choose a canopy width that fits your box location and span pendants across the island. A 36-inch canopy with 3 pendants suits a 5–6 foot island; larger islands may need a wider canopy or two separate systems (two boxes required).

Is one junction box enough for a multi-system?  

Yes — that is the point. Total wattage of all pendants combined must not exceed the canopy and circuit rating. An electrician confirms the box is fan-rated if the system is heavy. Do not exceed the manufacturer's maximum total wattage.

Can multi-systems work on sloped ceilings?  

Some canopies swivel for slope; others require a flat ceiling. A sloped canopy keeps all pendants hanging vertically. Verify sloped adaptability — a fixed canopy on a slope sends every pendant hanging at the same angle.

What bulbs do multi-system pendants use?  

Often E26 or GU10 depending on design. Integrated LED systems have fixed output per head. Match bulb type across all pendants for even color and brightness. Check whether bulbs are included for each pendant head.

Why do finishes on multi-system components look inconsistent?  

Canopy, cords, and shades may use different materials — metal vs. fabric vs. glass reflect light differently. Within one brand and SKU, finishes should match; mixing SKUs or brands causes visible variation.

Are multi-systems dimmable?  

Dimmable if all heads are dimmer-compatible. One dimmer controls the entire system on a single circuit. Integrated LED systems list specific dimmer models — use only recommended dimmers to avoid flicker across multiple heads.

Can I add or remove pendants from a system?  

No — systems are sold as fixed configurations (3-light, 5-light, etc.). You cannot add heads beyond the canopy rating. Buy the count you need upfront; returning and reordering is costly for large fixtures.

How do multi-systems ship and install?  

Large canopies and multiple glass shades ship in reinforced cartons, sometimes freight. Assembly and cord adjustment take longer than a single pendant — budget 2–3 hours for first-time installers or hire a pro.
